More InfoHow do I start?

Just choose the class times that suit and come as you are. No prior experience is necessary as we are dedicated to sharing yoga with you whatever level of fitness, age or stage of life you are. We request that new students arrive 20 mins early for registration.

More InfoHow do I prepare for class?
  • Dress in light stretchy clothing like you would to a gym workout. It is recommended that cotton be avoided, as it can get heavy when wet.
  • No shoes in the studio please
  • Bring a large towel, mat and water (available for hire and/or purchase at the studio)
  • Be ready to sweat, Showers are available for use after class.
More InfoWhat about eating before class?

It is recommended that you do not eat for 2 hours prior to class. Bending and stretching with a full stomach can be uncomfortable. You are the best judge of your own body and should you need to eat, something light such as fruit is recommended. Drink plenty of water prior to, during and after your class to maintain hydration, a healthy habit in its own right to support & maintain good body health.

Only in the mind! At yogafusion we recognize that everyone is different with various physical & anatomical limitations. We encourage you to work within your own limits, taking care of your own body and with time and consistent practice your flexibility will improve. The heated environment warms your muscles allowing a deeper release in your body assisting flexibility. As Jimmy Barkan says "begin from wherever you are, without judgment & aim to move towards your next edge".

If you are overweight, yoga will help your body find a balance that is right for you. Yoga benefits the circulatory, respiratory, digestive, musculoskeletal and nervous systems of the body and in conjunction with good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle yoga helps to keep them functioning efficiently. Students have found that with regular practice their bodies become more trim and toned.

Yes, yoga is great to enhance any athletic discipline. Many sports disciplines work certain muscle groups whilst others are not used. Yoga strengthens and stretches all areas of the body .The mental concentration required during a yoga practice improves focus and mental clarity enhancing your sports performance. You will also learn to relax which is an important aspect to any training program.
